The Mipa WBS Coagulant treats the wash water produced when cleaning containers, strainers and spray guns used with water-based paints (Mipa WBS, Mipa WBC). The solid paint constituents are bound and settle out – the water can then be reused for cleaning purposes or (with official approval) discharged.
Properties
- Significantly reduces the volume of waste water in the body shop
- Simple to use: sprinkle in, stir in, allow to settle
- Treated water: colourless to slightly cloudy, pH 7,5–8,2, free from heavy metals, AOX-free
- Water can be reused for cleaning purposes
- Storable for at least 4 years in the sealed original container
Application
| Dosage | sprinkle 0,3–0,5 % by weight into the wash water |
| Stirring in | approx. 1–2 min |
| Settling period | approx. 5 min – the solid paint constituents settle out, then filter off the water |
| Disposal | the remaining paint sludge is hazardous waste |
Areas of application
For body shops working with waterborne paints: clean spray guns and tools with tap water as usual, collect the wash water and treat it with the coagulant. Discharge into the sewer system requires official approval – the local water authority is responsible. Matching WBS cleaners and accessories are also available in our shop.
