The Mipa 1K Epoxy Primer Spray is a high-build, chromate-free 1K repair filler based on epoxy resin in an aerosol can – an excellent anti-corrosion primer with very high insulating effect against moisture. It can be used on sound, sanded old paintwork and factory primers or directly on steel, aluminium and galvanised substrates.
Properties
- Fast drying: overcoatable, ready for filler application and sandable after approx. 30 min (20 °C)
- Very high filling power and excellent sandability
- Outstanding corrosion protection and very high insulating effect against moisture
- Fine atomisation – fade-out zones without coarse overspray, ideal for spot repair
- Resistant to silicone remover and can be overworked with polyester body filler
- Overcoatable with all common solvent-borne and waterborne 1K and 2K topcoats

Use
Ideal for body repairs and spot repair: prime bare areas on steel, aluminium or galvanised substrates and protect them reliably against rust. Clean the substrate with Mipa Silikonentferner, sand it (steel P 120, aluminium P 220), degrease again and apply in 2–3 spray passes. After 30 minutes it can be filled, sanded or overcoated directly. You will find the matching Silikonentferner in our shop as well.

Dispatch

Aerosol cans, hardeners and certain solvents are classified as dangerous goods in limited quantities (LQ) under ADR. Dangerous goods handling is already included in standard shipping — no additional surcharge at checkout.
