The Mipa Aktivprimer is an acid-curing, chromate-free 2K primer (wash primer) developed specifically for aluminium substrates, with active corrosion protection and excellent adhesion on iron, steel and galvanised substrates. It can be overcoated with all Mipa 1K and 2K systems (exception: epoxy systems and water-based basecoats) – including the three-layer build-up of Aktivprimer / filler / topcoat.

Areas of application
Apply thinly to the clean, abraded substrate and overcoat within 8 hours; protect primed parts from moisture. Pre-treat galvanised substrates with Mipa zinc cleaner beforehand, and do not overcoat with polyester materials or alkaline materials (e.g. EP primer filler). The matching Mipa hardener WPZ and fillers are also available in our shop.

Dispatch
Orders received by 1 pm on working days are dispatched with DPD the same day. Every shipment gets a tracking number; with DPD Predict you receive a one-hour delivery window on the day of delivery. Standard insurance cover 520 € per parcel.
Dangerous goods
Aerosol cans, hardeners and certain solvents are classified as dangerous goods in limited quantities (LQ) under ADR. Dangerous goods handling is already included in standard shipping — no additional surcharge at checkout.

An island surcharge of 15 € applies to the North Frisian and East Frisian Islands, Helgoland, Neuwerk and Chiemsee. We will contact you before dispatch with the exact total amount.
