The Mipa 2K-HS-Klarlack CCD is a VOC-compliant high-solid acrylic clearcoat for high-quality, dead-matt finishes with a gloss level of 5–10 GU (60°). It produces a uniformly dead-matt clearcoat film over solvent-based and waterborne basecoats – for full and partial refinishing on cars. It also serves to adjust the gloss level of the Mipa 2K-HS clearcoats CC 6, CC 8, CC 9, CC 12 and CC 14 Thix. Coverage: approx. 10–12 m²/l.
Properties
- Dead-matt gloss level 5–10 GU (60°) for high-quality matt finishes
- Can be blended in as a matting component: with CC clearcoat 6:1 = matt, 4,5:1 = silk matt, 3,5:1 = semi-gloss, 2,5:1 = silk gloss
- Uniform matt appearance over solvent-based and waterborne basecoats
- High resistance to weathering as well as to chemical and mechanical stress

Areas of application
For matt finishes always coat complete panels over their full area – matt clearcoats cannot be polished, so spot repair is not possible. Stir thoroughly before use and strain through a 125 µm sieve; before the repair, spray out a test panel to determine the gloss level. Matching 2K hardeners and 2K thinners are also available in our shop.

Dispatch

Aerosol cans, hardeners and certain solvents are classified as dangerous goods in limited quantities (LQ) under ADR. Dangerous goods handling is already included in standard shipping — no additional surcharge at checkout.
